Please Paint My Nails!

Cailtin enjoys looking at painted finger nails. One of the Young Women in our church had painted nails on Sunday and Caitlin was mezmerized by them. Jim leaned over to me and told me I needed to paint her finger nails. Today, with it snowing outside, I decided it would be a good day to paint her nails. I started by painting my nails. She came and held her hands up for me to paint her fingernails. Since we painted them she's been holding them out to show her brothers and their friends her painted nails. It's pretty cool. It's fun having a girl in the house. I can actually do girly things and she enjoys them.

Easter Fun and Learning

Easter this year was pretty good. We've never really pushed the Easter Bunny at our house. We've always let the kids know that we hid the eggs and presents(if they get any) they used to get presents from Grandparents but not anymore. Brennan actually gave a talk in Sacrament Meeting on the purposes of the Aaronic Priesthood it was really cool because in Grandpa Hansen's scriptures, that Skylar received after his Grandpa passed away, a card fell out while we were doing scripture study, it just happened to be on the purposes of the Aaronic Priesthood. Jim told Brennan that even though Grandpa is gone he's helping him from the other side with the treasures he left behind and the scriptures he had marked. It was an awesome experience.

We did have a small Easter Egg hunt, even the eggs were small. The boys had fun. Caitlin slept through it because she has had a cold. We talked about why we celebrate Easter and then spent the rest of the day with family. It was fun.

Looks like Spring! or is it?

It snowed Friday into Saturday last weekend. My first thought was, how were the roads going to be for travel as we left Cache Valley. We ended up in warm snow free weather. It was great. We didn't
have T.V. all weekend so we didn't know what we were headed home to on Monday. We thought it might be cold, but it wasn't. It was warm and wonderful when we returned. My children were extremely happy about this turn of events. Big question is ,will it hold out through their Spring break and Easter weekend? We can only hope. We are suppose to get a few storms, but we hope it won't be bad. The boys are going to make the best of it anyway. Caitlin will be outside whether it rains, snows, hails or there is sunshine. She doesn't care as long as she it outside.

It's time for the roller blades, the wagon and the trampoline. Fun, fun fun!!!!

Caitlin Helping Herself!

Caitlin didn't want to wait for me to grab a bowl and spoon and the milk. She thought she could do it herself needless to say I just caught her with a little bit left in the bag. Before that she strung all my dirty laundry all over the house. She's a busy body.

Family Visits

Tony

Ralph and Jim Hiding as usual! They're scared of pictures.
Nathan

Deb, Christopher and Bridgette

Emily
We had a partial family get together while Roxann was in town. I don't think we will ever get the whole family together at the same time. The ones missing this time were Arlynda, Kris and Jan. Tony and Lori suggested getting together while Roxann was here. Most of those who came were local to Coalville, I said most. Nathan came down from Evanston Wyo. and I traveled down from Logan. Jan and Arlynda live farther away and Kris had my Dad, who had just had surgery, to take care of. He's the reason Roxann came to visit and stayed with him for about a week. Sometimes it takes surgery and stuff like that to pull a family closer together.

Lori, Joe, Roxann, Ellie, Tyrel's girlfriend, and Tyrel's back
Our family has fobia's of pictures being taken. I know I'm one of them, but if I have to I will let them take a picture. It'll be much better and I won't mind so much, when I've lost the 40 lbs. I want to loose.

We had a good time together. While we were there Caitlin just wanted to play outside, Joes daughter Bridgette offered to take her outside and play with her. I followed to take pictures. It was cool.

I couldn't keep up with all the conversations going on, however I did get a chance to talk with everyone it was a lot of fun. I enjoy family considering we are so wide spread it's a miracle that we get together at all.

Granparents and Kids

Before Jim's dad passed away we decided we needed to get pictures with all the living Grandparents and our children. I'm glad we did it because these are the last pictures we got to take of Jim's dad with our kids.

I think it's so important to me because, my natural mom's parents passed away long before I was born so all I have is pictures of them. I want my two youngest children who will probably not remember our parents very well to ask questions and learn about their grandparents.
I know that as a child. I wanted to know my grandparents. I wanted to know what they were like, what they did for a living and their likes and dislikes. There weren't a lot of people who knew them. My aunts and uncles knew them. My mom passed away when I was really young so I didn't even know her very well. So I've had to learn about her and my grandparents from my siblings and my aunts and uncles.
Jim's dad's parents died when he was five and he doesn't remember them very well. Any information that I've been able to get I've gotten from Jim's dad or brothers and sisters.

Visiting Grandparents

We thought it was just going to be us visiting with Grandma and Grandpa. Instead we had a mini family reunion. I only got a picture of Deb, Roxann, and Caitlin together but at least I got a picture. Dalton and Caitlin had a lot of fun playing and running around. Skylar and Brennan just watched t.v.. It was exciting to have all of them there. It was little too much for Caitlin in that small apartment. she needed a nap but wasn't willing to take one because she might miss out on all the fun.
