We celebrated Brennan's birthday a couple of weeks ago. We have a tradition in our family that allows the birthday person to pick what they want their cake to look like and Mom makes it. Most of the time they turn out pretty cool. He wanted his cake to look like the book Brisingr. I gave it my best shot and he loved it. This is actually one of the quickest cakes I've ever made. I love rolled fondant. Now the kids think I can make anything. We took him and his friends ice skating because that is all Brennan wanted to do. We came back to the house and had cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun.
How cute was that cake? Very! (hiding some talents eh?) And it looked like a very happy "young man" too. Congratulations on being the proud mother of another priesthood holder. it's got to make you feel good that you got him this far.
